Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and machine learning engineers
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum-resistant cryptography projects
- Patent novel quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical ML frameworks
- Hands-on experience with D-Wave or IBM quantum systems
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Strong Python/C++ skills for quantum-classical hybrid simulations
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- US citizenship required for federal contract compliance
