Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Lead experimental quantum hardware testing and performance optimization campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Secure research funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum computing trends through continuous R&D
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm development and experimental validation
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance principles
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (superconducting qubits, trapped ions, etc.)
