Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum computing systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure government/industry grants
- Ensure ethical compliance in quantum security research
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
