Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using IBM Quantum and D-Wave systems
- Develop error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA) and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity classes
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
