Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era devices
- Develop error mitigation techniques for 1000+ qubit systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science teams
- Author patents and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming methodologies
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm design
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap, photonic)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts to working prototypes
