Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum error correction and hardware-software co-design
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing architectures
- Publish research in leading scientific journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
- Develop simulation tools to validate quantum protocols before physical implementation
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and identify commercialization opportunities
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and assembly-level languages
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical computer science
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams with engineers and physicists
- Passion for solving complex problems and pushing technological boundaries
