Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects integrating quantum with classical AI frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature Physics/Science journals quarterly
- Architect quantum security protocols for next-gen blockchain networks
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 5+ years industry experience
- Published 10+ papers in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Track record of translating theoretical models into practical implementations
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing experience
