Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop quantum hardware prototypes using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and machine learning
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-enhanced neural networks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware control
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
