Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption frameworks
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual R&D budgets for experimental quantum systems
- Develop patent-pending quantum machine learning architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware control languages
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DoD, DARPA preferred)
- Track record of translating theoretical quantum concepts into functional prototypes
