Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate on quantum hardware-software co-design for next-generation quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and quantum algorithms
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
