Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics, finance, and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected qubit architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals with quarterly industry conference presentations
- Develop proprietary quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise clients
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF and DoD
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
- Partner with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable prototypes
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in tensor network simulations and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in Python, Rust, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Strong track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers in quantum computing
