Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 300mK temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate model simulators
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing hardware setups
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
