Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum software solutions
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit designs
- Secure $1M+ in annual research funding through NSF/NIH proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published work in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics principles
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
