Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in prototype development
- Collaborate with academic institutions to publish research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors operating at room temperature
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum circuit architectures and methodologies
- Present findings at international conferences including Quantum Computing Summit and IEEE QCE
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and distributed quantum systems
- Experience with quantum error mitigation and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract compliance
