Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author breakthrough research papers for top-tier scientific journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum information science or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion technologies
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
