Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processor architectures
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at international conferences
- Secure $10M+ in research grants through NSF, DoE, and DARPA proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Develop quantum computing frameworks for enterprise clients in finance, healthcare, and logistics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development and quantum simulation
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research funding
- Expertise in cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
