Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum stability beyond current NISQ limitations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware research
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Quipper)
- Published record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
