Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Develop scalable quantum hardware architectures operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit technologies
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
