Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with AI specialists to develop quantum-machine learning hybrid models
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
- Secure research partnerships with government agencies and Fortune 500 enterprises
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns from partner institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal or corporate research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
