Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and healthcare
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Lead experimental quantum simulations using superconducting systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Develop patents for proprietary quantum protocols
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published peer-reviewed papers on quantum entanglement or topological computing
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum optimization
- US citizenship required for federal research clearance
