Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond current limitations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes and benchmark performance metrics
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for proprietary quantum technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, quantum algorithms, and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent high-performance computing fields
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Ability to secure and manage research funding through government and industry partnerships
