Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers to develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum adoption in enterprise environments by 2026
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA for quantum computing initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of quantum innovation
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum machine learning solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's) and error correction techniques
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems and quantum annealers
