Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based patient care in acute care settings with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments while maintaining strict safety protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and document clinical outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and DC Board of Nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active DC RN license (or compact license with DC endorsement)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated excellence in patient-centered care
