Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing patients, performing physical exams, and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement a nursing plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team and patient.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient response to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New Mexico.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
