Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, post-care instructions, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
