Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and JCAHO standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs while maintaining clinical oversight
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
