Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and within scope of practice.
- Monitor patients' conditions and record vital signs and treatment responses accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations in the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
