Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other health care team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to approved nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, reporting any changes or concerns immediately.
- Document patient care services, including medical histories, assessments, and interventions in a clear and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a diverse patient population.
