Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Document patient care activities, reactions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies with prompt, effective, and calm intervention.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience and optimal recovery outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
