Role Overview:
As a Registered Nurse at Apex Health Systems, you will be at the forefront of patient care. You will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of medical service and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical judgment and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in strict accordance with medical protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses, in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, health management, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (New Gruates welcome).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Commitment to professional development and patient-centered care.
