Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in critical care settings utilizing evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and patient safety focus
- Monitor and interpret patient data, responding rapidly to changes in condition
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance audits
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to unit-based education programs
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in critical care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
