Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and intervene immediately in case of emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the state of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
- Certification in Critical Care (CCRN) or equivalent experience in a high-acuity setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress hospital environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
