Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop/individualize care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes that require immediate medical intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure holistic patient management.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care within the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS and ACLS certification required (ACLS required for ICU/Telemetry roles).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
