Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care in acute care settings, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with NY State nursing protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge procedures
- Respond to emergency situations with clinical expertise and calm decision-making
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety regulations in all procedures
Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Strong proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation for assignments
