Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ER, ICU, Med-Surg, and specialty units
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient vitals per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans using EMR systems with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and JCAHO standards
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently
- Maintain accurate medical records and participate in shift handovers
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in acute care
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC, Cerner preferred)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations
- Strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid DEA license for controlled substance administration
