Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress, reporting any changes immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and assist in code situations as required.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (IL).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
