Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and making clinical assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, wellness, and self-care.
- Document patient care services, including medical history and treatment plans, in electronic health records.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care in critical situations.
- Assist in triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
