Your Role:
You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings including medical-surgical, telemetry, and ICU units. You will act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition or emergency situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, infection control policies, and OSHA standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Oregon (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (preferred for specialized units).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
