Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in fast-paced emergency settings using evidence-based practice
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions with critical thinking skills
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols with precision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and comply with JCAHO standards
- Respond effectively to trauma codes and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN # required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ER experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
