Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and develop care plans for emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for trauma and critical care cases
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Provide patient/family education on discharge instructions and preventive care
- Maintain emergency equipment and ensure department readiness
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
