Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using advanced clinical judgment
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Participate in rapid response and trauma activations
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ED background strongly preferred)
- Strong assessment skills for diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
