Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and develop care plans for diverse emergency patients
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists during trauma activations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in Epic EMR system
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and code response teams
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and California Board of Nursing standards
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN # required)
- BSN degree or equivalent experience with enrollment in BSN program
- Minimum 2 years ED or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and point-of-care documentation
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Spanish bilingual preferred
