Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
