Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency situations including trauma, cardiac events, and pediatric cases
- Assess patients using systematic nursing protocols and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician orders
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for seamless transitions
- Lead code blue responses and manage emergency equipment
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ED preferred)
- BSN degree required (MSN candidates strongly preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent communication abilities for diverse patient populations
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience highly valued)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
