Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in fast-paced emergency settings
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Implement evidence-based nursing practices and maintain strict compliance with JCAHO standards
- Provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations including pediatric, geriatric, and trauma cases
- Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize Epic EMR systems for efficient patient data management and communication
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license in good standing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be current)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with Emergency Department preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make rapid clinical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated cultural competence
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and willingness to learn new technologies
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
