Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for emergency patients
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to critical situations with rapid intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (IL RN license)
- BSN degree required (ADN with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Trauma nursing certification (TNCC) desired
