Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and implement critical nursing interventions in high-acuity emergency settings
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and preventive care measures
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and NM state nursing regulations
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active NM RN license or compact state license
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (TNCC preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency assessment skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- EMR experience (Epic preferred)
