Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment and intervention in fast-paced emergency settings
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Document care accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Provide family education and emotional support during critical situations
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and NC Board of Nursing standards
- Participate in trauma activations and code blue responses
Qualifications
- Current NC RN license (or compact license with NC endorsement)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 3+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with emergency triage and rapid assessment protocols
- Commitment to continuous professional development
