Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions for emergency patients
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, including IV therapy and life support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Educate patients and families on discharge plans and preventive care
- Participate in rapid response and code blue activations
- Adhere to JCAHO and OSHA safety standards
Qualifications
- Current Michigan RN license (compact license acceptable)
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years ER or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with trauma and cardiac arrest protocols
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience highly valued)
