Responsibilities
- Provide critical assessment and intervention for emergency patients across all age groups
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Participate in trauma activations and rapid response team activations
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN license (or compact license with immediate FL application)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience in acute care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and triage assessment skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
